Edgar Villchur was an audio electronics teacher, researcher, and writer who founded the Acoustic Research company in 1952 with his student Henry Kloss.
The NHT C4 Tower and the CS-12 powered woofer both use the acoustic suspension design which was invented and brought to market by Edgar Villchur in 1954.
